Welcome to Wayland Little League Baseball and Softball.

Wayland Little League provides baseball and softball programs that serve our young players in grades K - 9 and caters for all skill levels and abilities.

Wayland Little League strives to provide a safe, positive environment in which players can participate and thrive in organized baseball and softball leagues. We provide players initial introduction to and ongoing development in baseball and softball skills. Programs are typically run in the spring, summer, and fall and are a good mix of both developmental and competitive in nature.

Supported by Wayland Park & Recreation Department for the benefit of the boys, girls and residents of Wayland. Wayland Little League is an all volunteer organization committed to building an appreciation for the games of baseball and softball through quality coaching and parental involvement.

Our affiliation with Little League International provides numerous direct and indirect benefits to players and their families including enhanced training and skills, development tools for all players, coaches and umpires, alignment with neighboring Little League-affiliated towns, and of course, the opportunity to field a Williamsport national tournament team.

We welcome your participation as a player, as a coach or as one of our many volunteers, as a financial contributor or team’s sponsor and as a fan.

Baseball bat reminder, as the offseason baseball equipment discount & gift giving season approaches, that all players in 2018 will be required to use bats that conform to the new USABat standard. These bats are available for sale now, and are marked with a “USA Baseball” stamp.

So be aware that you may encounter deep discounts on existing bats that do not have this stamp and they will not be eligible for use in any Wayland 2018 baseball program.  More information can be found on our National Little League website. There are no changes to softball bats just baseball.

Congratulations Jimmy Fund Minors Warriors!

Jimmy Fund Minors Champions

The Wayland Minors team endured rain, heat and some very close games en route to the District 13 Championship in the Jimmy Fund League. The boys played better and better as the season went along. Finishing the regular season at 6-1-1 in third place, Wayland played 3 tough Assabet Valley teams in the playoffs. The Wayland squad won the first 2 games 9-8 at home and 9-6 on the road. In the final game Wayland took down the previously undefeated Assabet Valley Blue team 10-9, getting the final out with the tying run on third base. Overall a successful and very fun summer season for the boys and coaches of Wayland.
