Winter 2018 Softball Training & Development Clinics

 

 

WINTER SOFTBALL

 

Champions are made in the off-season

 

Wayland Little League has partnered with the renowned Doug Carroll Baseball Academy and is pleased to offer the following winter softball programs!  Sessions will be held at the DC Baseball Academy just over the town line at 10 Central St, Framingham.  This facility is 4 miles from our Cochituate Fields and 10 minutes from the center or Wayland.  Sessions run for 7 weeks and your player may sign up for:

-1 or Both Sessions

-Pitching only

-Pitching and Skills/Hitting

-Skills/Hitting only

 

Softball Players grade 4 through grade 8 - Session 1 Pitching Program

 

Wayland Little League is pleased to offer 7 pitching sessions to help your player learn to pitch or refine her skills.  Players will be lead by two year starting pitcher for Division III Champion, Tufts University, and Massachusetts All-Scholastic Athlete, Amolee H.  Players will be instructed in all aspects of softball pitching through drills and a variety of skills stations focusing on fundamental technique and mechanics. No pitching experience is required to attend this clinic; players interested in learning to pitch are encouraged to attend. Clinic suitable for all skill levels from beginner to advanced.

Players should come dressed in athletic attire, with tennis shoes (no cleats as training will be indoors) and hair secured so it does not obstruct vision. Players should bring their fielding glove. 

***Players DO NOT need to bring an adult to catch for them***

 

Seven (7) 30 minute sessions will run on Sunday evenings at 5:00 pm.  Sessions start December 3 and run every Sunday (except 12/24, 12/31, 1/14) until February 4.

Softball Players grade 4 through grade 8 - Session 1 General Skills Program

 

Wayland Little League is pleased to offer 7 General Skills sessions to help your player develop and refine all the skills necessary to make her a successful softball player.  Players will be instructed in general softball skills, including hitting, throwing and fielding. Individual skills stations will be used to teach these aspects, and players will rotate through various stations. Clinic suitable for skill levels from beginner to advanced. New players are encouraged to attend.


Players should come dressed in athletic attire, with tennis shoes (no cleats as training will be indoors) and hair secured so it does not obstruct vision. Players should bring their fielding glove.  Players may choose to bring personal bats and helmets, but these will be provided.

 

Seven (7) 60 minute sessions will run on Sunday evenings at 5:45pm-6:45pm.  Sessions start December 3 and run every Sunday (except 12/24, 12/31, 1/14) until February 4.

Softball Players grade 4 through grade 8 - Session 2 Hitting Program

 

Wayland Little League is pleased to offer 7 Hitting sessions to help your player develop and refine all the skills necessary to make her a powerhouse behind the plate.  Players will learn and work on stance, balance, load, swing/rotation and bat path through repetitions.  Clinic suitable for skill levels from beginner to advanced. New players are encouraged to attend.

Players should come dressed in athletic attire, with tennis shoes (no cleats as training will be indoors) and hair secured so it does not obstruct vision. Players should bring their fielding glove.  Players may choose to bring personal bats and helmets, but these will be provided.

Athletes are provided ample opportunity to learn and develop their skills in a controlled setting designed to be extremely positive, persistent and encouraging. Our goal is to help each player believe in their ability to succeed at softball.
